Marie Catherine Laveau (1801-1881), midwife and herbalist, known as the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, is pictured sitting in a box seat at the famed French Opera House in New Orleans.

 

She was the half-sister of Marie Delores Laveau. Both daughters of Charles Laveau Trudeau.

Marie Dolores is an ancestor of our founders, Givonna Joseph and Aria Mason.
